The Journey of BLENDi 2016-2026

### 2017

### The First Prototype

Our journey started with a hacked-together experiment: we stripped a traditional corded blender, mounted a drill battery and trigger to the side, and wired it so a squeeze of the trigger powered the blades—proof that truly cordless, portable blending was possible.

### 2017

### The Second Prototype

We transformed a standard shaker bottle by removing the base and, in collaboration with UMass engineers, engineered a custom blending base that became the foundation of our next-generation design.

### 2018

### First 300 Units Manufactured

After two years of ideation, we produced our first 300 units and successfully sold out by December 2018.

### 2019

### Featured in MassLive

Our first news article in March 2019 spotlighted our journey and shared the story behind BLENDi with MassLive readers.

### 2022

### Launched the Pro

We introduced the first BLENDi Pro, engineered with enough power to go beyond powders and fresh fruit, making it our first portable blender capable of crushing ice with 120W of Power.

### 2023

### Relaunched the BLENDi Original

Renamed the BLENDi Original as the Lite and officially reintroduced it at the Into The Blue event hosted by Lowe’s.

### 2023

### Released the Pro+

We launched the Pro+ as the first portable blender that lets you enjoy your drink without sipping around exposed blades, thanks to a fully detachable blending base that separates securely from the bottle.
